5 Mistakes Why Your Remodeling Website Isn't Converting Visitors.
No Button on the Home Screen
Most remodeling companies website does not have a Button on the first screen of the website.
When a visitor land on the website, all they see is a text telling them what they do. But no button to tell them what to do next after they finish reading the text.
And most times it's hard to see a button throughout the rest of the homepage. This will make the visitor scroll through the website and leave without contacting the company.
Only Shows Image on the Home Screen
Another big one is some remodeling website only shows an image or video on the Hero page. No text to tell the visitor what they do and no button to tell them what to do next.
They automatically expect the visitor to understand the company through the image. Most time they won't do that.
They will just leave immediately and never go back to that website again.
No Clear Next Step
Here's another problem i noticed. On the Home screen, sometimes the button they have there leads to getting more information rather than contacting the company. For example button will lead to services page instead of the contact page.
Also Sometimes, the button and other element on the home screen will have the same color. This makes it difficult to clarify what the dominant element is and what's the clear next step to take.
Long Blocks of Text.
This showed up on almost every remodeling website. The contents are very long. We live in a world where most people don't like reading long paragraphs.
When they land on your website and see a long paragraph, It feels like work, and they might skip it. Some will only read the first and last line and leave out the middle.
Important points get buried in the middle. And on mobile, long paragraphs feel even heavier. If your message requires effort to understand, most visitors won’t put in that effort.
Long Contact Form
Last big mistake i noticed, is when a visitor finally decides to contact the company, and they go to the contact page. They end up seeing a long form for them to fill inorder to contact the company.
Most visitors will see it as work that they don't want to do, and that will make them leave the website half way.
